Well it only took me six months to check in. haha.
Been busy obviously, and have had stuff to say, but just didn’t find the time or the heart to put it down into a post to send out there.
Today’s rant will be about work: I started back in October and its been real. As in a real pain in the ass! But, its work and that’s hard to come by for many people who want to work, we need the money and it’s steady, that’s all that matters.
We’ll have an opening in the Accounts Receivable department soon. She’s retiring and is looking forward to it. They have the ad in the paper and have been looking for some time now. I don’t believe they’ve done any interviews at all, but they intend too. My boss asked one of the girls in the office if they had any friends that would need a job with an accounting degree. She said she had a friend interested, but her degree was in business, but had taken accounting courses. Originally told by HR, that it HAD to be an accounting degree, the girl told her friend and they didn’t submit a resume. But the boss told her to tell her friend to send her resume and he’ll look at it. What they have to offer in payment they cannot afford someone with too much experience, but maybe someone new out of school would accept the position for more of the experience angle, but less pay since they can’t afford someone expecting more. Well…
Coworker is 24, you can bet her friend is too. She is also a big Blackberry texter. Either using Blackberry Messenger or just texts. She spends a Lot of time texting in just the Part Time hours I’m here. Needless to say, that gets my goat. Out of the four of us in this office, I have the most work (some with deadlines), and yet here I am part-time. While the others are full-time surfing the net, checking emails, or texting. God Help Me if they hire her friend, because then Nothing will get done. And I WILL NOT take on more work at a part-time employment basis. We shall see, we shall see.

So! Has anyone crocheted or read a new good book lately they want to share?
I’ve only been making pot holders and want to try making a simple swing type of jacket with very loose mesh feel to it (I’ll add the link later when I’m home. Can’t find it online now). But haven’t found the right yarn yet. I received a pot holder recently from a friend and she used carpet wrap yarn and I Love the feel and the weight of it. Going to have to look up that type of yarn and see whats available and how much. It’s along the sports weight side of yarn. Anyone have a good recommendation of a nice sport or DK weight yarn they use for the clothing projects??
UPDATE: Here’s the link to the pattern I want to try, I may have posted before. still haven’t gotten around to making it though. Chalk and Wool
