The holiday have come and gone.
We’ve had a nice time with family for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Good food and conversation with the in-laws at Thanksgiving. My boys little faces with smiles wide and loud with giggling laughter opening their presents on Christmas morning. A calm quiet New Year with my husband.
A fun Christmas party with local crochet friends, enjoying their company and good humor. I’ve crocheted a little bit here and there. Made several chemo caps to pass on to a friends friend. I’ve made two winter hats with the Divine Hat pattern, which works up really fast and easy.
Two different sets of fingerless gloves and hats for other family as Christmas gifts. A Cardiff Cowl (login required but free) for the cold winter days that seem to be hitting Jersey pretty good as of late.

I did start a part time job that feels more like a full time job forced into a tiny hole that is my desk, but it provides some income and still allows me to take the kids to school and pick them up without having to find full time daycare for before or after school. My niece is 16 and although she’s sporting purple hair these days, she’s a good kid that babysits the boys when they have off from school.

Her eyes are covered to protect her innocence.. HA!
So that saves on the funds for day care as well, because I can pay her less than I would have to at some facility. So I haven’t had that much time to crochet as much as I want too.
Here’s to a New Year of crafts, crochet, family, learning, and good health !!!
